Memaloose Moment

Last week Ken and I went for an afternoon hike in the Mt. Hood Wilderness. We spent an hour and a half driving around forest service roads before we finally found the trailhead to Memaloose Lake. (Note to self: get a new map of the area!) We quickly hiked up to the lake, snapped a few photos, had a snack, then headed out again before the sun went down.

  1. Ooh, I hope you'll add this to your card collection. No fun to wander the confusing Forest Service roads, but it was worth it in the end. Rhododendrons in the foreground? What is red and in bloom? Makes me want to go for a hike today.
