A New Day
Leave it to Daily Paintworks to get me to try something new! The challenge this week is to paint sky and only sky, and something I've been meaning to try for quite a while is a palette knife painting. I got out my tubes of gouache and started playing with color, making up a morning sky as I went along. (I really have seen mornings just like this!) Naturally, it was tons of fun, so there will probably be more experimentation in the days ahead. That's one thing I love about art. It can be something new any time I want, and in keeping with that thought, I chose to call this painting, "A New Day".
